[edit] 32 bit
Would it at all be possible to make a 32bit version of this barebones? --Fusion 00:27, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
Yep. We have to set up a full 32 bit environment in order to transition to 64 bit anyway, so I don't see why you couldn't just not use the last bit of trampoline code and start there. I'll ask around and see if anyone's interested in doing that. Steveklabnik

[edit] Desktop Environment / Window Manager
I recently discovered this project ( five minutes ago actually, so if their is something I missed I am sorry D:) by Googling different kernels, at first I was going to tinker Crunchbang by adding a microkernel, and found the GNU HURD Debian and Arch Distros. Doing some more reading I discovered it was not compatible with sound or SATA CD and DVD burners. Then I found Bare Bones and the rest can be history! ( Or is it ever just that?)
Anyway, onto my question. From what I read so far it is compatible with C programs, does this also include C++ and or python and the like? I like tinkering and coding but in a Graphical way. Consoles easily get the best of me. The Manager I was curios about was Openbox. I also found some videos on Youtube, it looks more like a phone os, so i am guessing not you guys?
Great work, I cant wait to get my hands on this thing and start coding some D with you!
